Anna-Lucia: As collector, traveller, observer and creator I frame situations and capture perspectives. In that sense I don't only express myself musically but also create from an interplay between myself and my surroundings. Analog photography and a slightly synesthetic perception of the world inspires me in creating a forthcoming solo project where I translate visual textures and colors into music. The release of my debut solo EP is planned for 2025.

A very first performance was realized for my Master's degree concert in September 2022 at RMC in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was half concert, half installation. The room was filled with analog photographies hanging from the ceiling. With each picture there was one pair of headphones where you could listen to my personal musical interpretation of the photo, the textures, the colors, the shades and forms.
»vis-à-vis« – an audiovisual experience.
I've created an accompanying booklet for the event. I've written a lot about the backgrounds of this project and how it came about.
"Where I come from we say 'vis-à-vis' meaning 'opposite' ('gegenüber') and that term was poured into the German language so creepingly that it has gained another sound. My great-grandmother used to pronounce it in this strange South-German accent and it took a me a while as a child to understand that it is actually a French term.
Now I use it to name this audio-visual study project to give it a guideline, a framework, a table of contents.
I see colors – I hear a sound.
I observe textures – I create tones, lines, noise, harmonies, reverberations."
With »vis-à-vis« I am creating a space for people to feel save, to follow my personal journey through different phases in my life and experiences I’ve made along the way. Be challenged and let emotions take over. I frame this situation in an audiovisual manner and I welcome you to experience a room, a space, a personal journey.
"Everything you hear in the concert / the exhibition was created by mirroring a view. It is meant to be a space where you can escape a harsh and brutal outside world without shutting it out but being able to mirror it, reflect it and process it through creation."
